CCC problem after getting new hd

I just got a new WD sata hard drive, upgrading from an old ide drive. Everything was running perfect with the old drive. CCC was up to date with latest drivers, no problems at all. Now I get the new drive in, xp sp3 installs fine, same with mobo drivers. Now when I put in the driver disk it appears to install everything fine, but when I try to open CCC I get an error. "Catalyst Control Center: Command line Interface has encountered a problem and needs to shut down." In researching this online a lot of people say it's a .net problem but I've installed/uninstalled every version to no avail. I don't understand how everything could have been fine before and not fine now with the only change being the hard drive. Any idea's??

ATI HD 4850 512mb
AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+
4 gigs of ddr2 ram
Windows xp sp3
Western Digital Caviar black 500 gb HD

Well, it's not an idea to fix what's wrong, but you could try totally skipping CCC and using ATI tray tools. Anything CCC can do ATT can do better.
