My current setup of XP Pro SP3 32bit in Windows Explorer or My Computer displays the hard drives and any connected devices that act as external hard drives as well as Control Panel, my username's Documents and Documents. Is there any way of getting rid of these last 3 items that I never use? I think most people would want a more streamlined look not shortcuts that Microsoft has stupidly inserted into the wrong area. Beginners would assume that Documents are of the same hierarchy as hard drives because they are on the same level. I realize why they do this but its still stupid and confuses people later. It also makes beginners lazy and they often never really know how their OS is laid out. This is a disaster later when they're trying to find something.
Anyway, is there a way of just showing the connected hard drives and devices? That would be most logical.
