Help on starting my pc build

At the moment I'm planning on building a computer its probably going to be long term buy since i plan on buying it part by part. First part of business I believe is the motherboard and when I purchase it I can start looking for things that go with it possibly making a good gaming rig for the future... I'm not 100% sure of how much the motherboards cost but as a budget I have around $120. In case knowing my screen resolution is needed i have a 1680 x 1050 screen thanks in advance.

You can probably get a reasonable motherboard for $120ish.

thing is i was gonna use that but since im only really asking for one part at the moment i wasnt really sure if i still needed to fill that out plus the fact that i cant really fill it out since im not looking to buy a pc on a certain budget instead buy parts as the money rolls in :S

I was looking on newegg for mobos and at the price range i set there really arent many there arent many to begin with but on my price range there were low ones like 60 bucks and this one is the closest i found which is 99 bucks and then i found this other $90 one.
