So I finally got my tv fixed after the lcd panel went on it (it's a Sony 52'' xbr6), and now when I connect it to my computer, both my 22'' Samsung and the tv screens go black and won't do anything until I reboot. If I connect just the monitor or just the tv it works fine. The weird part is, just a week ago this same setup worked perfectly. I haven't changed anything on the computer and the only new piece of hardware is the new lcd panel. Also, when I connect just the tv, the computer image doesn't fill the whole screen even though it is set at 1080p resolution. I've been working on this for hours now and I still can't figure anything out.

Off the main topic, why does Catalyst only go up to 60hz for the refresh rate? Almost every tv and lots of the new monitors are 120 or higher now.

because the tv probably is still running at 60Hz, the 120 Hz and 240Hz are from interpolating the frames to find a frame between two 60Hz frames (giving 120Hz)
