Curious to see what everyone thinks is the best bet right now on what SDD to get. I am looking at getting a 128GB drive. Each one is about $200 right now. So that is fine.

The other thing to consider is that I would also like to get a 2nd drive of the same model here very soon, and maybe go with RAID0 on those 2 drives. So also need one that will handle RAID0 very well together.

Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

Corsair SSD's are FINE! the problem is sandforce 22xx controllers!

i have first gen corsair S128 SSD and it works fine as backup windows, 2x F40 raid 0 at old PC and one performance pro 128gb!

I suggest you two SSD's!

samsung 830 series or corsair performance pro! both are reliable!

samsung uses it's own controller and performance pro uses marvells!

performance pro is a little faster than samsung 830 series in benchmarks but in real world you will NOT notice difference between ANY new SATA III SSD's ! ;)
