I want to post my possible basic computer build before I ask my questions just incase this information is needed to give me a better answer:

Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D Premium LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
Processor: Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core
Video Card: SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100281VX-2SR Radeon HD 5870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5

My question is about the ram, I plan on running tri-channel but I am not sure if whether having DDR3 1600 with 6GB of ram would be better than DDR3 1333 with 12GB of ram. I know normally the more ram the better but I am just curious to whether there will be a performance drop as far as gaming. I am building this computer just to use in video gaming. I would normally go with DDR3 1600 at 12GB of ram but I just cant afford it. Anyways, which one should I choose? I know anytime I am out of my league I can come here and get the right suggestions. = )

For gaming, you won't see a noticeable difference.6GB is more than enough for games,so go with 6GB 1333Mhz and save some cash
