ACPI-incorrect CPU

I apologize if this is in the wrong area; but it seemed to be the best place.
I did a system recovery on my PC. when the ACPI installer installed, it recognized a Multi, not a Uni. I have an AMD 64 3400+ (socket 939)
Windows XP Media center edition.
I was wondering, Is there a way to correct this? CPU-Z still says it is a uni. so does the task mngr. so far, it has cased no problems that I know of. but then again, I have not re-booted since the install. I want to avoid any boot looping or issues such as that. I tried to update the driver, but it tells me there is not a better One. any help would be appreciated.

I had no problems using a system recovery from a single-core P4 to a dual-core AMD. However, I changed the 3 ACPI files that determine the processor. I had the other problem though, my Multicore got detected as single-core.

Open Device Manager
Expand "Computer"
Right-click on "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" and select "Properties"
Select the "Driver" tab
"Update Driver" button
Can Windows connect to Windows Update... "Not this time", "Next >"
"Install from list or specific location", "Next >"
"Don't search, I will choose the driver", "Next >"
Then choose either "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" (for multi-core CPU) or "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC" (for single core CPU), "Next >"
"Finish"
Reboot.
