Hello,

First, the system:

cpu: i5 760
mobo: P55A-UD4P
CPU cooler: cnps10x performa
GPU: 6850
Case: Antec 300

The goal is a 4.0 overclock. At a 3.6 overclock, I'm getting idle temps of 40, and while using IBT, my max temp is 91, which I consider pretty high.

Is the Performa just that bad, or am I doing something wrong here? (I followed this guide for OC by the way: http://www.techreaction.net/2010/09/07/3-step-overclocking-guide-lynnfield/)

Any help is appreciated.

When I did the above, I had 1 120mm fan in the front pushing air in, 1 140mm at the top of the case blowing out, 1 120mm on the top rear blowing out, and the cpu cooler fan blowing towards the heat sink and towards the rear.

I just moved things around, and my temps are 5 degrees lower while under load. (moved the front fan to the case panel, moved the rear fan to the other side of my cpu cooler, still blowing out).

Would it be worth it to add more fans? I still don't think that I should have to do this with the kind of aftermarket cooler I have.

Yes, the design change of the heatpipes on the EVO alows for less air bubbles to form compared to the standard hyper212+
