Everything on desktop works in slow motion

Everything fades in and very slowly. Email acct slowly comes on the screen than when I click on an email, it slowly fades onto the screen. When I click it off, it slowly fades away. Playing solitaire is torture but the timer still runs at the right speed! Help!

It sounds like you do not have the proper video driver installed.

Well, here's the lovely thing that happened - the next morning everything was normal! I think just asking you all for help cured it. Thanks for caring about my problem.
