New Build ~$1000

So after a couple weeks of research I have come up with the following build.

For a bit of background, I'm planning on using it for gaming/autocad for work at home. I'm not planning on overclocking at all and I'm planning on using this PC for the next 2-3 years with very minimal upgrades if any. Budget is around $1000. I have all the peripherals including monitor, so that will not be part of the build.

If you see anywhere I could make an improvement, anywhere I'm making a mistake, or a better price on some of the gear I would appreciate the feedback. I'm ready to buy the parts in the next couple of days and assemble . I will not be using newegg to buy the parts online... but the place I'm buying from does offer a price match so the opportunity for savings is still there.

I say go for it, perfect build....

You are going to need a few 120mm fans for that case.. At least 2.....

You don't feel that one read fan, 1 top, and 2 front fans will be enough?
I've ready that the air circulation in this case is excellent.


• 1 rear 120 x 25 mm TriCool™ Fan with 3-speed switch control.
• 1 top special 140 x 25 mm TriCool™ Fan with 3-speed switch control
• 2 front (optional) 120 mm fans to cool the hard drives
• 1 side (Optional) 120 x 25 mm Fan to cool graphic cards

Thats what I meant, the 300 only comes with the 2 rear exhaust fans, you need at least 2 more for the front intakes ......
