I'd got answers for which card a while ago, but my thread is gone!

Hi all - I wanted to upgrade my graphics card (at the moment I have a nVidia 8800GTS) and I sought advice on this forum. It was answered well, but when I've come to look back through as I'm now in a position to buy, I don't have ANY threads that the system can find!

Firstly, is this normal behaviour?
Second, a good car to replace the 8800GTS please? I think I might also upgrade to Win7.

I'm not trying to sound like a d!ck, but don't you think it would be helpful if you listed your system specs and also your budget, so that people can recommend the best suitable card for you.

It may be that a mod deleted the thread as your question may have been answered.

If you can streatch your budget a bit this HD5850 would make for a good upgrade http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-215-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=411. Cards for less than 200 would be HD4890, HD5770, GTX260 or GTX275.

I have a ASUS ATI HD5850 on order for £206 so if you can dig a little deeper it'll be worth it.

Overclockers seems to be good at getting stock, but charge alittle more.

This looks do be a nice deal on an HD4890 and likely your best choice if you don't go for the HD5850.

If you were to get a ATi 5850 you could run 3 monitors off that 1 card using a new technology called eyefinity.

I don't think you mentioned your PSU, make sure your PSU is at least 550W and a good quality brand
