1) please don't use caps
2) emachines tends* to use cheap parts (i've taken a few apart) and once they run out of the parts they simply move onto a new make and model.

* tends - is a nice way of saying "always"

and dealing with their support is no pleasure either. But I can say that I bought one refurbished and they will not even give me any support on the unit....just even to inquire on a RECOVERY disk purchase.

Sorry about the caps earlier....

Tiger direct stated it was refurbished....I was wondering if it was discontinued and sold as refurbished could it have been an overstock or perhaps they recalled the model because of problems and refurbished it to resell them...

So far a great machine for me. Fastest I have owned for the price....
