guys i ve got a pc for like 6 years now. yesterday something weird happened. i shut the pc down. then when i tried to turn it on again the green light on the front panel header stayed green, the red one for hard drives remained off and the pc just didnt turn on ( no fans, no noise, no hard drives, no other led) for example when i press the power button of this desktop pc, the green light just stays green and the pc does not turn one (described above). can you please tell me what to do? is it a psu problem? a mobo problem or just a cpu problem?

please reply fast

thanx guys ;)

Easy test: replace the front panel "pwr" connector wires with the "reset" connector on the motherboard. If the reset button starts the computer, your power switch is bad. In that case, you can replace the power-on switch with a "momentary" push button switch ~$3 at Radio Shack. You'll have to solder the front panel wires to the two prongs on the switch.
