Hello everyone.

I happen to have a laptop in the garage. every time I start it up, I have to wait 3-10 minutes for the network icons to load in the task bar.

I have searched online a bunch tonight and have not found any answers as of yet.

I did find this forum and love the "solved" feature.

Thanks in advance!
Dan

How old is the Laptop ? What all is in the startup, that you might delete from starting at startup ? Have you checked it for viruses ? Got any system specs, Like RAM, Processor speed ?

This is on two laptops. Both have been doing this randomly.

Currently, my HP DV6000 is the bum around the house one, and this one does it rarely, bit held me up from using it for 10 minutes last night.

Not much running on start up:
QlbCtrl (quick launch buttons)
nwiz
NvCpl
SynTPStart
GoogleUpdate
wcescomm

XP pro
AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile, TL-50 1.61GHz
2.68 GB ram (I only use this for web browsing).

Yes, no viruses.

The other one does this every time I start it. Sometimes it takes 10 seconds, sometimes it takes 4 minutes. It is my garage laptop, so I am not by it now, but can check it tomorrow when I am out there. I ONLY used this latop for garage music streaming, and VAGCOMing my cars.
