Help my bios clock runs too fast

every 1 day, my clock is ahead by 10 minutes. Is this related to a faulty CMOS battery?

I don't think it's windows 7 doing it, because I shutdown the computer and then turn back on and the time is stiff off

I have a new MSI 890GXM-G65 board

How old is the mobo? If u can test the rig with another battery u can find the answer.

i tried taking out and then putting it back in (doubt it'll work). The board is entirely new (1 week old), I guess I could ask MSI to send me another battery, not sure they'll do it though, they may ask me to send the entire board back in - which I really don't feel like doing. I guess I could replace the battery - cheap to get a new one, but not sure if I can buy one in stores
