Pentium 4 3.0ghz with GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-ES2L mobo

That motherboard supports the Pentium 4 505J, 506 and 520 with an updated BIOS of F3. It can use DDR3 1333 MHz memory but most likely it'll run at 1066 MHz by default w/o an overclock. It should work fine, although if you can spend ~ $110, why not pick up an Athlon II X2 240 & BIOSTAR A785GE which will be a pretty decent upgrade?

yah but the p4 processor is only for the mean time coz i still dont have $115 to buy a core 2 processor (INTEL CORE 2 DUO E7500) $58 dual core processor(INTEL DUAL CORE E5300),

if i will buy that core 2 i cant use it coz i still dont have money to buy a board and a memory, so i'm thinking if i buy a mobo and a memory and use this old p4 of mine, for me to be able to use it for a while..

so does it mean my processor wont stand a chance to work properly on this mobo and high frequency ddr3?
