I would like to span desktop across the 3 so that I can have 3 dif. programs showing on all 3. can I get this results with the splitter running ultramon? cant seem to get anything other then cloned desktop on the splitter???

nope, with most graphics cards you can only get 2 displays, to get the third you need another card

the radeon HD5XXX supports 3 displays right now and there is a special 6 display version coming soon, though for the 3 displays to work you either need a displayport monitor or you have to use an active displayport to dvi converter, the 6 displayport card is only display ports so you would need display port monitors or 6 converters

though if the screens are 1920x1200 or lower you could buy a matrox dualhead2go (get the digital one that takes dvi). Connect 2 monitors to the dualhead then the third to the gpu and connect the dual head to the gpu

this would give you 2 monitors that act like one and a span for the third one

if you have monitors that are 1680x1050 or below then you could just get the triplehead2go
