4870 DOA?

Whenever I hit the power button on my machine, it takes 10-15 seconds for the beep sound to come, and there in no video signal-just a blackish-gray screen. Sometimes it simply doesnt POST at all, rather like a machine which has been OC'ed too far. Should I replace the GPU under warranty? It it linked to the grey areas which have started appearing on the PCB? It's barely 2 weeks old.
Model- XFX 4870 1GB, single slot, the one without a shroud.

Your card has a 6pin power connector, right?
Have u connected it?
What about the temps?

A little advice, never buy a single slot card, it can pretty fast hot... :) 

Both 6 pins connected.
Temps- idle at 55-60, never over 65.
Load- Rainbow Six Vegas, 1024*768, 4x AA, 16x AF, 76, auto fan
Crysis- 1024*768, 4x AA, 16x AF, 78, 100% fan
GTAIV- 1024, high texture, highest render, 1024*768, 78 draw distance, everything else maxed out, 68.

it works when all of the ram are installed or just one of them? If u found anything strange then it's more likely your ram is in trouble...
Have another ram? friend's ram? try it on...
