GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 speaker?

Hi,

Does the GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 have a system speaker?

I am trying to help my friend over the phone with his new build which is not POSTing (no video to monitor, etc.). He has tried various configurations down to just the psu, motherboard, and cpu, but he has never heard any beeps.

I figure the first order of business is to figure out if there is actually a speaker on the motherboard.

Any help would be appreciated!

Update: Problem solved. The video card was missing a power connection.

Apparently the motherboard does not have its own speaker, and additionally it uses the Award BIOS which doesn't give beeps in most situations anyway. So we ended up wasting a lot of time trying to figure out if the motherboard was dead when it was fine.

Most speakers come with the case or you add one for diagnostic beep codes.
Glad you solved your problem though
