4 gig of ram, showing ups as 3.12 in windows 7 64 bit??

I have just upgraded to 64 bit on windows 7 so i could use all my 4 gig ram but still shows only 3.12??

Any idea's why this may be???

also ive tried seeing if there is a fault with the ram and inserted then 2 gig at a time but shows as working fine, its only when i use all 4 gig i have a problem??

Must be setup issues in bios. try tinkering.
