Realtek audio recording volume problem

Hello,
My problem is that the recording volume automatically switches to 0 when I start a call on 12voip. Also the wave volume goes to maximum. It happens every time, no matter what I do.
I have a Realtek sound card on XP sp3. I thought that maybe upgrading to sp3 was the problem, so I searched for an upgraded driver, but I found none.

Perhaps it's a setting in 12voip? You can still adjust the volume settings manually right?
