1066Mhz to 800Mhz DDR2 RAM

Hi, I've a DDR2 1066Mhz memory but my motherboard only support 800Mhz. The memory run wells at 800mhz but this would't damage it? I mean 'underclock' it, isn't 'dangerous' to the memory? Thank you :)

  1. Should be fine, just be weary of the voltages.
  2. Put it this way, i have DDR2-800 RAM and i run a 1:1 ratio on my CPU at stock settings so that underclocks my RAM to DDR2-667, i've not had an issue with this at all nor have i had to change any voltages. You will be fine with those settings.
