Having problems with Hd and not able to read data.

I have a WD10EACS (WD 1TB) I used it in my old computer as a data drive. I took it out and did a new build and the hard drive sat in a box for about a week. I put the drive back in the new build and i can not view the files. I can see it in Win7 Disk management as a unallocated drive. When I try to Initialize the disk it gives me a "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)." I can only guess that the drive it self failed the self check "every drive does before it spins up". I do not want to lose that data that i have on it. What programs can i use or what can i do to get my data back with out sending it to a pro and spend a grand i dont have.

Try Easeus partition manager. It can recover partitions.
