whats with all the posts right now? Doesn't anyone know English? Let me break out my decoder ring and see if I can figure out what your trying to ask.

Ohhhh, you spent all your money on a PC, and are worried about what will happen if your power gets shut off. Why didn't you say so? The only part I'd really worry about is the hard drive. If it suddenly loses power the read/write arm can come down and possibly touch the disk. This is a bad thing, more so once the drive is powered back up and the disk is spinning again.

Sudden power downs can:

1. Eventually corrupt the Windows Registry
2. Damage hard drives

@4745454b ; really , wat do u think of urself UH???? some kind of english master or somethng , well listen MR i tried to make it simplified so that anyone could understand , even guys with little knowledge abut computers would help provide the best answer so don't show off bcuz i know and am sure that u used to get D in english all the time and throw the blame on others .

@post 2and 4

ya as i said before this is not the first time there was a power down in my area and yes i think my hard drive is dying but iam broke and can't buy a new one . Wired noises come from the hard drive in the startup , reading a file etc etc etc . I don't think these noises are refered to as the "click of death" bcuz my hard drive does make nosies but it still works nicely ,i play games , burn dvds and dlayers and they all just seem to go smooth .

to all , so the only part which gets damaged is the hard drive and no other part in the system ,rite??

There are others, but if your just going to be a d!ck, I won't bother. I'll leave it to those "guys with little knowledge abut computers would help provide the best answer". (which is more or less impossible.)

Have a good day sir. (from the guy with a BS degree, A's and B's in his english classes.)
