Gaming pc-help needed on psu & monitor

hi everybody, here is the system i'm planning to buy, though there are few issues that need to be cleared on some parts, but well, first things first, here are the parts i've decided on so far:

ASUS P7P55D Intel® P55 1156 DDR3
SAPPHIRE HD5850 GDDR5 1GB 256Bit ATI DX11
INTEL Intel Core i5 750 1156 2.66GHz 8MB Cache 45nm
PATRIOT 4GB (2*2GB) Viper II DDR3 1600MHz CL7 Dual Kit Ram
WD 640Gb 16Mb Cache 7200Rpm Caviar Blue Harddisk
LOGITECH MK300 DESKTOP
SAMSUNG SH-S223B 22X ± DOUBLE LAYER SATA DVDW

id appreciate it if you have comments & advice on these, but here is the deal;
-- I will "most probably" oc the system in the future
-- and crossfire the video card in two years.

would a 500w psu handle that much or is this one barely enough for it, or more than needed?
--AEROCOOL VX-9 PRO 700W MidT ATX(OCZ 700W GameXstream PSU)

And as for the monitor, this is what I have in mind, what do you think of it?
--ASUS 21.5" VH222D LCD MONITOR

thanks in advance :)

  1. Thanks zipzoomflyhigh, so;

    the only monitor I could find at the same price is the acer 22" V223WBBD monitor which is 1680x1050, though the 21.5" asus has 1920x1080 full hd, and this baffles me =)

    I'm living verrryyy far away from USA, newegg doesnt ship the products to my country. So, for the harddisk, I could find;

    *SEAGATE 500GB 16MB SATA2 Barracuda 7200.12 Harddisk ~$55
    *SAMSUNG 1TB 32MB SATA2 7200 RPM HARDDISK ~$90

    I wont be needing that extra 500mb space, so does the cache make much of a difference to spend an extra $35?

    I would love to have a psu like that, though it requires a computer case as well and it is very pricey here =) So, i dont think i will buy those two seperately, instead go for the embedded ones, what do you think about the case with the 700w psu i mentioned in the previous post? (-AEROCOOL VX-9 PRO 700W MidT ATX(OCZ 700W GameXstream PSU) )
  2. zipzoomfly has a great PSU

    try this monitor: ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080P LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 20000 :1 (ASCR) Built-in Speakers - Retail

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236059&cm_re=monitor_23-_-24-236-059-_-Product

    the monitor is bigger and costs about the same.
  3. you don have to spend 90 bucks on a 1tb hdd, same one here only 500gb

    SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive : $54.99
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181&cm_re=samsung_f3-_-22-152-181-_-Product

    faster but same price as old one
  4. could you tell us where you are buying/ordering from so we could see the products on that website instead of newegg :)
  5. its might cause a problem :) the site doesnt have an english option :/ anyways, here you go; (believe me, there is not much to choose from)

    http://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/products.aspx?L2=OEMDSK&sb=30&sk=1&qs=|8=72

    and here is the monitor list;

  6. this might be a samsung f3 not sure, going to ask on another forum though

    http://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/samsung-sam_sata2_500gb_16mb-500gb-16mb-sata2-7200rpm-harddisk/productdetails.aspx?I_ID=26912

    specs are about the same, but not really sure
  7. sata II or sata III ? samsung f3s have the latter, i guess. If so, they are different, but even though they are not the same, your suggestion seems to be the best solution as far as i can tell?
  8. apperently its the samsung f1 500gb, about the same but a little slower.
