Using a Wireless Router as a switch?

Ok are you asking if you can use it as a LAN without the internet access? If so yes it will work with or without internet as a lan network.

Well that completely depends on how you connect to the internet. If you have broadband, it'll need to be an ADSL router, or you can create a network bridge if you have another ADSL router that is compatible with network bridging. You can also connect it via ethernet to your old ADSL router and set up your new one to act as a gateway to that one, which can be a little fiddley with IP and network settings depending on what you want, but yes, it is possible.
