Just to start, I am very new to overclocking and would appreciate any advice you all could give. Currently running idle I am running at ~31C at about .96-1.06 vcore. Running Prime95 after 10 minutes it is at ~52C at 1.174-1.192 vcore.

I have a z68 extreme 3 gen 3 mobo and a hyper 520 cooler with AS5.

Thanks again for all the help

My mobo also has a 1 click OC kinda thing in the BIOS, is there a reason I shouldn't use that? It has presets of 4.0, 4.2, 4.4, 4.6, and 4.8 and adjusts settings on its own accordingly. Would I be better off doing it on my own or would that be a good place to start?

A safe 2500K target for your cooling is 4500mhz or 45x multiplier.

The overclock guides were written to help you achieve your goals, there are some here and you can Google them, that's where I suggest you start your overclocking adventure, Learn First then Do.
