Hydra works on 1 single motherboard for now. A MSI board called Big Bang. It is an onboard chip that cannot be used on another mobo.

That poin tis moot since the hydra only exists on a mb without on board video.

Anyway.. no, I don' think hydra is designed to work with on board video.. but in a few years we might see it. For now it will only be on high end boards that won't have any on board video.

That is true, but it will be quite a while before it works as well as crossfire or SLI, even longer before it works that well on mismatch.

Yeah, they have a LOT of bugs to work out before it is worth very much. It barely scales well right now, let alone work with a multitude of combinations.

Not to mention all the profiles they have to work on.

Hydra has promise but right now doesn't bare much fruit.
