processor-motherboard question thing.

if i were to buy this motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H), would i need to install a processor in it to be able to run a system booting windows xp? or if i just ordered it and some ram, plugged them in to a power supply, shoved them in a case, and hooked a hard drive up to it, would i be good to go? and would the system run stable-ly?

Yup, and it requires an AMD AM3 socket processor, Phenom II / Athlon II / Sempron 100 Series.
