slow shutdown & startup XPH SP2

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage (More info?)

Hi.
Is there a way to eliminate all the saving that goes on
during shutdown? It's really slow, sometimes as much as
1½ to 2 minutes.
Is there a common process that also affects bootup time?
Thanks,
Latsh
