OLD WIN EX BACKUP TO NEW WIN 7 COMPUTER

Hello,
How to restore xp files (pictures) bckup on toshiba 3.5 ext hard drive to new win 7 cpu? Restore files only shows the new backup of win 7, the old backup exists but is not displayed as a restor choice. Wher can i get a user guide?

You have to specify what kind of backup you have available. Which software was it created by?

As well, you might consider not using caps. It doesn't make your issue any clearer.

Sorry, excuse caps. It is a Toshiba 3.5 Ext hard drive 1 TB and the software is from their site and is by Installshield software corp, file version 2.2.5.0 created 1/4/2012. I made a file backup on a Win EX system that crashed & would like to restore this date to the new Win 7 computer. I made a backup of the new system before trying the restore. When I tied to restore the info from the EX backup, it is not included in the restore option, only the Win 7 backup. Need to restore from the Win EX backup.
