Hey guys!!

I just got a Geforce3 ti 500 for 12 bucks. Is it a good card for older games (1999-2003), do you still use yours?

It think it was a good performance for an expensive when it was initially released in 2001 ($250?).

Google for benchmarks.

Of course I meant video in the title. I just want to know if it can realistically handle stuff like flash video, and older era games like Star Trek Elite Force, and Dungeon Siege? Why is everyone still so ga-ga over this card 10 years later? :}

The GeForce 3 is a DirectX 8 video card.

A simple search on Star Trek Elite Force states a DX9 card is required.

Dungeon Siege is DX8 so you can play it with your GF3. Again, Google for benchmarks. How hard is that to do?

Actually a Geforce 3 can max out Elite Force. Or at least my old Geforce4 Ti 4200 could and it is about the same as a Geforce3 Ti 500. Same with Elite Force II.

However when the interweb" gives conflicting information on what games the card can, and can't play, I come to the lovely people in this forum to educate myself further. "}
