Ok guys, i am building a new rig, since my old one is dieing out i want something to be future proof as possible.

This is what im selecting

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 RAM

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Im going to salvage my old videocard, which is a 8800 gts, and my HDDs/cpu heatsink/fan

Also, do you think a 8800 GTS will bottleneck this system? I plan on buying another one for SLI

Refer to the thread in my signature. We can probably do better if we have a budget and specifics on what you're reusing.

The GPU will be the bottleneck. It is almost always is. I wouldn't plan on buying another one, I would just upgrade completely. The new HD 5xxx series cards are amazing, and excellent for future proofing with DirectX 11 support and great performance in Crossfire.

A good CPU cooler is the Coolermaster Hyper 212. It's $30.

The board is decent, the CPU is alright, but that RAM isn't that great. There's a set of 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 Ripjaws that'll only be $20 more. Can't really do much more without a budget...
