F10 does not work

I have a packard bell thats 7 years old...for some reason the F10 wont work and I cant restore it back to factory settings...I have done it several times before but it just won't let me do it...help...someone should know the andwer I've been searching the web for weeks and no one seems to know...help...

Is it the original disk that came with the system? No modifications with it? What happens when you try to do a restore?
