Just wanting to know what kind of temps I could expect running an overclocked 2700K and 3770K at 4.5Ghz with a liquid cooler such as the
- Intel RTS2011LC Liquid Cooling System
- Antec KUHLER H2O 620 CPU Cooler
- Corsair Hydro Series H40 CPU Cooler
- Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU Cooler
- Corsair Hydro Series H70 Core CPU Cooler
These all cost around 70-95 dollars Australian.
I'd love to hear from you about any experience with these coolers and a those cpus at around those clock speeds.
And if you have any air coolers that perform just as well to suggest that would be great.
The 4.5 ghz is the boarder between air cooling and needing a water cooling setup. The Sandy bridge will overclock real well on air and the CM Hyper 212 Evo will get you to 4.5 ghz on air and after that you'll have to use the water coolers. The i7-3770k is another story and you can only get to 4.2 ghz on air and you'll have to use water after that and it will have to be the H-70 or better.
The H-40 and H-60 can be used in place of the 212Evo as they are the smaller versions on the water coolers and you can use them on the 3770k for overclocking up to 4.5ghz after that you'll have to get the H-70 ,80 OR 100 as the Ivy Bridge will be putting out serious heat.
