I have a UMAX 610S running through a Adaptec 2904 PCI SCSI card. Two problems occur. First, just about every time I start WXP SP1, I have to reload the hardware, either through Device Manager or Add Hardware Wizard.
Second, today after working just fine for the past few weeks the software declares there's a problem with the scanner. Using either Photo Deluxe 4.01 or WXP Scanner Wizard, I get the preview as pretty as you please. As soon as I try to do the actual scan I get an error message that there's a problem with the scanner. Suggestions?
