DDR3 with AMD build

In this thread, about 8 replies down, lowriderflow said "[snip]Then about $100 for 4gb DDR3 (no reason to do 6gb on AMD build)[snip]."

What exactly is meant by "no reason to do 6gb on AMD build?"

Solution
Amd boards have only 2-4 ram slots; 6 gb is good for 1366 Intel boards with 3 or 6 ram slots. 4 gb is plenty for most folks, but you can use 8 with 64 bit windows versions.
