i have a gateway celeron notebook and when i recovered
from a bad shutdown this happened on startup (logging in
to windows xp home). i cannot increase the virtual
memory, even in safe mode, but i can decrease it to 0. i
do have permission. i have deleted the paging file (using
regedit)and have the same error on startup. i have 512
meg of ram but total paging size shows at 256. diskeeper
shows a good chunk for paging file.
