Hi all, I am wondering if a Intel Xeon E5520 CPU ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ) will be compatible with an ASRock X58 Extreme or Extreme 3 mobo ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... )

May I ask how you know that it will work fine? I see on ASRock's website that the boards will support E5502, E5504, E5506 however it says nothing about the E5520's. Also what do you think about ASRock and the reputation of their boards?

That's strange, this CPU is from the same family of those supported models so it should work fine, the best thing is to ask Asrock or check if a BIOS update is available.
About Asrock X58,well its a good and cheap(compared to other X58 boards) motherboard and has good reviews
