More about what type graphics card
  1. it depend on your motherboard, PSU, RAM, and resolution of your monitor...
list the rest of your system here and how much do u want to spend... :)
  2. I have an NVIDIA nForce 430 motherboard with a 250 watt power supply and 3gb of ram. I might want to spend $200 for a graphics card. :) I think i might need a better motherboard because its a 32 bit.
  3. You are really going to need to upgrade your PSU as well. Can you tell us more? What OS do you have, is this a branded PC or built machine (for PSU concerns), What games do you play, what resolution is your display, etc?
  4. it have a PCI-E slot, right?
what do u mean your motherboard is 32bit?
i won't suggest anything for u if u aren't on plan to upgrade PSU as well...
your psu is too weak, believe me, u need a higher and better psu.
  5. Also, where can you purchase from? Are you in the US or another country and if so what sites can you buy from?
  6. Probably nothing more than a GT240 (NVidia) or HD4830 (ATI). Both of which would require a better power supply.

I was planning on getting a better PSU. I have Windows 7. My PC is branded. I play Garrys Mod and Empire Earth. I want a graphics card that could handle Garrys Mod because i have to put my graphics, textures and ect to low settings. My resolution is 1280 by 1024 pixels. I think. :)

Yes i have one PCI-E slot. I thought 32 bit was way slower than 64 bit. I planning on getting a 700 watt PSU.
  10. What is Garrys Mod? I am not familiar.

In regards to 32 bit, that is probably referring to the OS, whether it is 32 or 64 bit.

What brand/model is this? It isn't a slim line PC is it?

A 700w PSU? that is overkill for anything you are going to install most likely.

For $200 I'd say go for this:
    XFX 5750 $140: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150448&cm_re=5750-_-14-150-448-_-Product
    OCZ 500W PSU $60(has a $20 MIR): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341016

jay has a really good choice there... :)
    go as jay said...

That suggestion was simply what I would most likely get for myself in your situation. It is always subject to better deals or the knowledge that you know a certain game runs better on a certain GPU and what not. I am not familar with the Garry's Mod game, so I have no idea what it takes to run well. Empire Earth is an older game from I think 2001. So virtually any card would run that, probably even onboard. You could always get a 400W PSU and a 4670 if you wanted to make it a cheaper upgrade. But a 5750 would give you some room to play modern games.

    460W + 4670 = $100
    CoolerMaster 460w RS $30: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171046
    Gigabyte 4670 1GB DDR3 $70 (plus a $10 MIR): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125277

You could probably also use that 460W PSU on the 5750 actually if you wanted to cut some costs. That would be $170
