1333mhz ram working at 667mhz!

I just built my first gaming pc.
My specs are:
MSI 785G -E53
AMD 965
2x2gb 1333mhz corsair
500gb samsung hdd
Galaxy GTX 460 1 gb

The problem is;
I opened AMD overdrive and i saw that the memory had 667 mhz instead of 1333 mhz.

This is my first build and am sure nervous. Also, the cpu fan is making hell of a noise.
And, also i went to the bios but i couldn't configure any thing on memory.

hmmm...667*2=1334. Maybe the reading is actually 1/2 the actual frequency.

It is normal for the monitoring programs to report half the actual memory speed the DDR stands for Dual Data Rate meaning it processes twice per clock cycle so it is operating correctly !

Hey i' m having the same problem. I just read in another post that this involves correcting the settings for the memory on the mobo bios. If I find some good info I'll get back to ya. dont worry so much though. just dont do anything your not sure of. I've been reading a lot and watched some good utube vids to learn.
