Hey,

I just wondered what exactly is ambient temperature regarding computers?

I have HWMonitor and i wondered if ambient temperature is the same as the system case temperature? I googled ambient temperature and it said that it's the temperature of the air flow, does HWMonitor say the ambient temperature because it says "Air Flow" and "Assembly" but i think they come under the hard drive sub menu...

Sorry for sounding dumb and being an absolute noob!

Thanks in advance for answers, rob

Ambient temperature is the room temp. It's the baseline. If you're in a hot room, all of the other temps you measure are going to be higher.

To be honest, it doesn't really matter, but it's useful to know when you're trying to compare numbers.

To measure it, just grab any regular termometer.

I have no idea. Check out CPU cooler reviews to get a good baseline.
