Hi, I've just put together my new system and I want to test the memory sticks (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&AID=10446076&PID=3899435&SID=skim1402X558040) before installing the OS. My question is, do I have to set the final timings and voltage or stay with the default configuration?

On the other hand, how much time would you leave the test running? I know that experts leave it for 24 hours or more...

Finally, if you have any other recommendation, I'm willing to learn...

Yeah, set your ram all up to default settings, and run memtest for atleast overnight

I would set the test going for at lest 12 hours (overnight) as a minimum but I don't think that you need to run it more than 24 hours. The reason for this is that it takes at least 12 hours for everything in the computer to get up to its maximum temprature.

I've been running the test for 12 hours without a single error. Should I run it again with the sticks in their final configuration (CAS7)?
