Hello, I built my first system about 5 months ago and didn't bother with overclocking now I want to see what GHz I can achieve with this chip however I've never done this before so need some help on what I should do.

Current Spec

Cpu: FX-6100 (3.3GHz)
CPU Fan: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - Current temps idle (cpu) 32 C (MB) 30 C according to Asus AI Suite 2
Motherboard: M5A97 PRO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
PSU: Corsair GS700
GPU: XFX Nvidia 9600 GSO (Upgrading to MSI AMD Radeon HD 7850 Twin Frozr III/OC 2048MB GDDR5 soon)
Case: Zalman z9+

I currently have 1 intake fan on the front and 2 on the side. I also have 2 exhaust fans on the top and 1 on the rear which I believe is sufficient air flow.

I would like to achieve something around 4GHz+. Thanks for your help.

Is it really necessary to have a water cooling for 4GHz? Under load while gaming on this fan it reaches to about 49 C which isn't too high I believe.

After deciding to use the bios as AMD Overdrive was telling me lies I managed to get it to 20 multiplier at 4.0GHz 1.32V (Ofset) is this fine for 24/7 use? I ran tests for 30 mins and nothing came up this time and the system seems alot more stable.
