Default 3d clock artifact, help.

Hello,

My ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 gives me artifacts and results in messing up desktop and everything else, if not crash.
It only happens when it jumps on to 3d clock speeds, and is set to the default 750/900. ( never touched it )
I set the 3d clock to 507/500, same as my 2d, and i don't get any problem at all. Just the performance loss i guess.
I would like to go back to the default 3d rates. Any fix or suggestion?
Not so crafty in this area so any input is appreciated. TY.

A good idea would be to call the tech support of the card and see if you can do a RMA since the card may be defective.
