3dmark vantage on the left, 3dmark06 on the right.

Ok, I included CPU-Z and GPU-G. I included ATI Overdrive and VTurbo. Now it looks messy.

To save you the trouble, it reads:
3dmark vantage: P20962
3dmark06: 24273

I think a CPU-Z screen shot should also be posted along with the score for validations! :)

Just wish i could get the regular 3dmark 06 to work for me, the installer wont even start for me. Not even in compatibility mode or as admin.

For some reason, OvrClkr's pictures will not zoom like it says it should when I hover over his pics. The others due however.

I think it has to do with him using photobucket and the ones that do zoom are being hosted on imageshack

Reply to mpavao81

^Amazing scores...wish mine were that high...but for the $$ I spent on my computer I think I have outstanding scores..
Gonna post mine up as soon as done benching...I'm gonna try to do that tomorrow...

Earlier today, after having some issues with my USB ports, I flashed my BIOS. I reran Vantage and gained 1k points. Then I applied the Cat 9.12 hot fix and gained about 700 more points. Resulting in this:

Ahh...these 5850's and 5870's are the best cards out there...not to mention the 5970...
I just gotta get the 5850 sometime in the future...
Oh and I got a new case today...Yeah....Antec 900 Two... :p

Reply to videl

@ bystander, I think you may have a CPU bottleneck on 3dmark06, reason being is that i get 25K with a Ci7 920 @ 4.2ghz and 1 5850, where as your using 2 x 5870's and only getting 1k more.

Almost 29K on vantage though :O Nice!

Sweet case!! I was about to purchase the 902 the other day as well... But since I needed Win 7 Pro 64bit i decided to put the case on hold ;) ... The 902 has major airflow [:jaydeejohn:5]

Make sure you take your time with the cable management ;)

Looks so sick and has such nice airflow...I just can't stop looking at it...
Every time I leave my room I have take a quick glance at it...lol

I also got the 902 when I built my computer. It's good to see I got lucky and chose well.

I've redone my cable management at least 3 times now. I think I finally got everything nicely situated behind the back panel. The first time I set it up, I didn't think about running my power cables back there.

Reply to bystander

hehe, same here... and I don't even have a 902... lol

Funny thing is that Newegg sold the 902 for 99.99$ (free shipping) and the 900 at 109.99$ (14.95 standard shipping) till yesterday and now it is the other way around.... wierd....

I can't get my wireless adapter to work with win 7 64bit.... I knew i was going to hit a wall once I upgraged my OS.....

Works fine win XP pro, called Lynksys and they said"we are currently working on the Win 7 drivers".... The dam OS came out a few months ago!!!!

I guess I will have to order an adapter from Asus, until then there will be no Vantage scores :(

What card do you have ovrclkr? I had an older linksys pci card and I found some drivers that a guy had made that worked. They are probably out there if you look hard enough:)

Im am currently using this adapter :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6833124069

The problem is that Lynksys has not updated the driver since 2007... This is unaceptable since it is Wireless N, most G products flawless with 64 bit OS'es regardless of the version...

I just ordered this adapeter :

I agree, its pretty late in the game for them to not be updating drivers to 64bit. Bad linksys, bad! I finally said screw it and ran wires all over my house. I still have wifi for my laptop, but xboxes and dvr's and tv's and desktops are all wired. I know its not possible for everybody, I just got fed up with it:)

Im going to give that adapter one more shot, if it drops a single connection I will have to run a cat 5 all the way to my room....

I see your using 2 x HD4870's, When I had 2 x 4870's i managed 22k with a C2D8400 @ 4.6ghz, just need to unleash that C2D :D also had the cards OCed to 790mhz core.

Reply to omgitzfatal

a little better, B50 @ 3.6GHz, 5770 @ 960/1445...

EDIT: easy tune is saying 3.6GHz but 3DMark is saying 3.4GHz?

Are you overclocking in the Bios or via windows?

------------------------------ http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv199/OvrClkr/mod.png
Reply to OvrClkr

the first time was through windows just for a quick run, i don't like doing it that way so i re-ran it after i re-clocked to 3.6 through bios

my cpu unlike other 550's seems to be really multi friendly, when i first got the cpu it ran like a charm at 3.8 with only upping the multi to x19

I had the CPU stable at 3.8GHz at one point, and the cards were clocked a little faster. But heat was my enemy. I find 3.6GHz the best compromise, and there is only really Stalker CS and Crysis that I can't max out at 19x12. I'll probably do a new gaming build some time this year, and then the current machine will become my productivity machine.

yea i think the only thing holding my system back now is the 128mb bus on my 5770, oh well time to buy another one and Xfire lawl

------------------------------ http://valid.canardpc.com/cache/banner/963223.png
Reply to Msixteen

I don't think the 128mb bus is holding your system back, that card really does perform well regardless. I have seen dual 5770's get a better score than a single 5870 in Vantage and 06. The key is tweaking your components and making sure they are as stable as possible.

I kind of cheated. I had my cake and ate it too.

I used 5870's in CF and added a 9800gt which I stole from my 2nd system (and put the 8800gts in it's place). Without the dedicated physX card, it only scores about 25k.
