Hello all..

I am trying to find a more modern motherboard that I can use my older parts in..

I am basically wanting to get a new mboard to upgrade the graphics from my old AGP HD 2400 to
what I have now - ATI HD 4750 PCIe. I actually have 2 of these...

My current board does not support PCIe and is 4+ years old...

My current system is a Pentium 4 3ghz with 2gb Ram -

I see that most newer motherboards only have 1 IDE port (which it seems that I may want to go with SATA instead)
I wanted to see if I could get away with using my older parts until I am ready to build a good system....

The RAM that I have is DDR 184 Pin -

Underneath it all, I want to build this system around the GPU and possibly have a newer CPU architecture if possible.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

The big problem here is find a mobo that support ur old CPU and can support Crossfire @x8 at least and also DDR.

So, my advice is that save ur money a little more time and go with a new full rig AMD or Intel.
