please tell me....what plays a major role connection of two WANs?

really the only practical difference between LANs and WANs is that LANs have a lot more dedicated bandwidth and WANs are typically intra-connected LANs with limited bandwidth connecting the two.

The idea is to make the WAN connection as efficient as possible.

Like the above poster said, routers play a major role.
