2 different OC GHZ reported

Can anyone explain why my Windows "System Information" reports a 3.99 GHZ OC when I set the mother boards OC to 3.8 GHZ. That is verified in CPU-Z as well.

Thanks allhttp://img51.imageshack.us/img51/9008/38listedas399ghz.th.png" class="img lazy">

More about reported
  1. I have never had Windows report the correct overclock yet and I have gotten used to it not being correct so I rely on either the bios or a program like cpuz.
This is also why I discourage people from overclocking with windows based programs instead of doing it in the bios. I just don't trust windows to do a good job with identifying such things.

Hi Inzone and thanks for your reply. I haven't used any windows program to set the OC, it was done in the BIOS. I was just asking why is the OC reported differently in "Real Temp" and "System Info" from the actual settings in the BOIS.

    Thanks
