AMD New Socket

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions to ask you. How long do you think the AM3 socket will be around? Will AMD just upgrade it to something like " AM3+ " like the AM2/AM2+ I was just thinking about getting a new mother board, it will be AMD with the AM3 socket. I was just wonder what your thoughts are about something like this? I just wanted it to be future proof for... say for the next two years or so. I think I'll be alright, but I am curious to hear your opinions.
I am not and AMD fan boy or anything like that, they are cheaper than Intel at the moment.... Or at least more cost effective for what I want to purchase it the mother board and CPU for.

Road maps suggest AM3+ will be coming next year, along with a new socket for Llano.
